Brisbane to Babinda

Well we haven't blogged in some months but will endeavour to fill you all in a little.
So we start with Bren filling in for 2 weeks at R&J Batteries in Stapylton . This was great for him however a very different experience for the kids and I.The caravan park that we stayed at was very dodgy with the kids meeting some very strange families but you get what you pay for $150 pw wasn't to bad. On the Sunday we drove to the eagle farm Markets, this was great so much fresh produce was very  delicious. then we head back to Alexandra hills to have lunch with my cousin Debbie who i haven't seen in years. this was the best day so good to see her and her boys and meet her new partner and i even got to speak to My Uncle Norm was great. So to jump ahead we packed up the camper on Brens last day so we were ready to leave when he got home from work. So at 6pm we were on the road to Biloela to pic up a bash plate, we stop about 70kms out at a rest area at 2am. Up and off to pick up plate then on to Townsville we were 100km short Bowen for coffee and ice-cream and on we press we camped at home hill comfort stop at midnight it was packed.
Today is our run to Cairn or 70 kms out a place called Babinda we only have 300ish kms to drive so we  cruise along with lunch in Ingham at alovely park then on to Babinda to set up and wait for my family to arrive. This free camp is great clean and new although they could do with more loos.

MONDAY 17th JUNE 2013
Its 9am and its already Hot and muggy so we decide to head to Josephine Falls and the boulders. The Falls are so beautiful and Brenden and the Kids had a ball swimming across and sliding down the rock into the cold pool below. I was taken back however when a Chinese man nearly drown in front of me, he had to be saved by an African turns out he couldn't swim and the cold water was too much.At the Boulders its a shallow swimming area with a few walk we walk to devils gate which was just beautiful the power of the water churning through those rocks is scary. On specking to David they are going to drive most of the night so they can get here earlier they end up stopping at blue-water free camp and sleep in their cars as its pack. I cant wait to see them in the morning and i cant sleep as i keep in touch with them as they drive. i will continue this in a new blog called Cape York 2013.
