Alice springs ( yes again !)

There was no real rush to get out of bed however there was a coffee in ur hands before the 8 arm was hit and we slowly all woke in the relative peace and quite of the showgrounds .

The area was massive with probably 3 acres in a large area then anothe two area spread out along the oval with well set amenities that were nice and clean and showers were hot to boot!

Simple brekky of corn flakes and we set out into town for a couple of car parts and useful knick knacks to make things more organised in the camper.

We had some washing to do so off to the overpriced laundromat we did one load and dried it as well as we thought we were heading off but I had to wait for an axle seal to come into stock Tommorow so we did the tourist thing around town soaking up free wireless Internet and getting some lunch at the supermarket and fresh bread  with pasta salad .

30 cent cones all round held cool us down then into Kmart to try to find a new Doona cover for the parents but stocks were low and would be replenished overnight .

We checked out a few more bookstores and local art stores and tried to find out some more info on Tanami track conditions which proved rather fruitless which sucks considering its distance and importance.

We decided to head back to the showgrounds for another night and a absolutely beautiful plate choc full of cold meats and fresh salads the boss whipped up , man I missed that wombok and fried noodle salad.

I was feeling a little average so I read a book while kids got some computer time , but as I threw a water bottle on the bed it bounced back down smashing dashman's computer screen in the process.

I was so pissed off with myself as I'm always pressing on everyone to look after expensive and fragile items yet there I was smashing shit up , accident I know but I felt Superbad for doing it .

Lights out I calmed down getting back into my Bourne Ultimatum book which had been laying dormant for a few weeks so I jumped both feet into many chapters before retiring for the night .

Tommorow hopefully the two things we needed would be in stock and of course some much needed alcohol for the parents as we wouldn't see any at half decent prices for many weeks I guess.
