Chambers Pillar to Alice Springs

We made the most of the early cooler weather to pack up and pointed the cruiser and camper back down the track along its corrugated lines and checked out Marybale but being a Sunday the well known art and craft shop was shut and it was a quick lap of the town then past the flower covered cemetery over the hill past the rubbish dump along a small track to the old Ghan line which we followed back to Rodinga and missed hundres of coach bolts and debris along the way .
The road was better but not a lot and it kook us 4 hours to reach Alice Springs where we fueled and and re supplied as best we could but it would need to be a weekday to replace some items on the car namely the inner rear axle seal and hopefully a sd card reader for the iPad so can load images here in the blog.
Then lunch at maccas and off to setup at the cheaper option of the showgrounds which was so good with clean toilets , showers actual grass sights and power and not clogged in next to each other , the kids played with some other travelling families nearby and threw the boomerang on the oval before much needed showers all round and simple dinner of spaghetti bolognaise .
Some reading for all or Internet time and we all hit the sack.
