Uluru to Henbury meteorite craters

As I expected I pulled up a little later and tighter in the legs than normal but after a cuppa I was all good .
I ducked into the shop for milk bread and a new bucket .
As we packed up the girls had a shower while I made egg and bacon sangas on the newly commissioned BBQ opposite us .
Then we hooked up the the robust camper and I jumped through the shower for a quickie and a shave before departing .
We then departed a little later than expected but that was fine and within a few hours stopped at Erldunda for a fuel top  up as we were heading bush again and conditions were a little unknown at this stage and also a cheap eat , nothing special here folks !.
little up the road we turned into Henbury station and then into the Meteorite site where we scantily setup and then commenced some well deserved schoolwork for a few hours escaping the afternoon sun in the rotunda provided area , although nearly eaten alive by local black flies intent on entering every moist orifice they could.
The kids took refuge eventually in the camper as the flies were breaking their concentration apparently , lol all good then I made a tent for Shahla to play in with dash and relaxed a little before a yummy dinner of chilli con carne burritos with lettuce and cheese and Ej made a delicious cheese and herb damper that turned out perfect in the camp oven over the red coals .
After the days driving it only took one beer for me to turn in this day after the rest had gone to bed so I finished my journal .
There where only two couples a little across from our site and they kept to them selves fairly quietly
No dingoes that we seen but tracks were around .
