Waking to cars and noisy warehouses across the way is nothing new to anyone who has camped at the Hobart show grounds before but yet again I couldn't sleep and awoke a few times during the night before a dunny run at 6am and a Nanna nap before everyone else raised their heads.
I knew I had to pack up our bomb shelter of a van and annexe and assorted sundry we had accumulated in the last 5 weeks, some we had brought with us would definitely be staying in the shipping container back in Bendigo.
A quick catch up on emails, Facebook and a forum before the others awoke I sent an email to a fellow selling a 64 gb iPhone (finally one for me with my music lol!) for a very good price and in the next suburb .
I got up and and rolled in bed till the mrs made me a beautiful latte (love the power purely for espresso coffee lol) then set about packing up the annexe goodies and then the bikes onto the car and packed up the tv and antenna which worked well now I finally got to use them although I must admit in the week we were here we used it less than 2 hours which sounds like a pain for setting up sakes but is good as we were all entertained regardless.
As I packed up the iPhone seller rang and I met him at the bank and handed over some folded stuff for an immaculate phone with some goodies ,then we drove onto bunnies to get so e window locks to replace the clapped out locks on our rear cargo drawers in the cruiser ( just hope I get time to fit em !!!!).
We took off from the show grounds around 12 slack yes but remember we have no concept of time anyway .
The drive onto the highway entrance was relatively easy and a few short turnoffs later and one wrong turn we finally dove through Huonville and on to cockle creek a hour or so later.
An absolute dream of paradise is what I thought of the south most point of Tasmania and found our campsite easily after retracing our path back through the national park and back into the main camping area at a place very close to the beach yet sheltered from the weather and the few other campers.
We set up quickly without our annexe just the awning ( yippee ) while the handbrake prepared chicken and salad sangas ,grabbed a beer ,well I did then we took the kids to the beach 30 metres across the rd for the next few hours .
Pizza from the freezer for tea and finally some some journal time for all of us and now thinking of bed as we are all a bit tired.
